mug shots

"april showers bring may flowers" and showers there have been this past april. soooo.... on my rainy days off, i've been trying to get back into throwing some pottery. i actually had a girl come in obbc (my place of employment) the other day and order a mug. i figured that was some great motivation to get in the mud room.

i absolutely love they way pottery looks at all stages in the process. from a muddy kickwheel to the colorful finished product, it's all beautiful to me.

below are my new favorites. my mini-vases. i love these little guys. they give me carpel tunnel, but they are so cute! i'm making them into magnets for the fridge, or they can hang on windows with small suction cups.
there she is. my back-breaking kickwheel. i really need a motor on that thing. my right leg is getting more muscular than my left leg. anyone have a mini motor they don't need?
